Terms of Use
1. Licence
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Irish Legal Toolkit on devices you control for your firm’s internal practice.
2. Not legal advice
The software is a practice support tool only. It does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for professional judgment. All drafts, calculations, forms, and documents must be reviewed and approved by a qualified Irish solicitor before use, issue, or filing.
3. No regulatory affiliation
Irish Legal Toolkit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Law Society of Ireland, the Legal Services Regulatory Authority, Revenue, Tailte Éireann, or any court or government body.
4. Your responsibilities
- Keep client data secure on your devices and backups.
- Verify all generated documents against current law, practice directions, and official forms.
- Do not rely on the software for live ROS filing or official e-filing unless a future feature expressly supports it under separate terms.
- Comply with professional conduct, data protection, and confidentiality obligations.
5. Optional services
Optional features (folder sync, Microsoft 365, client portal, payments) may depend on third-party services under their own terms. You remain responsible for configuration and access control.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The software is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular file, or that outputs are error-free.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss arising from reliance on software outputs without solicitor review. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Pilot and paid use
Pilot access may be free or discounted under a separate agreement. Paid licensing terms (if any) supersede conflicting pilot terms when you purchase a licence.
